Conditions

OT's are experienced in working with children with a variety of developmental conditions including:

-Preterm babies

-Dyspraxia/Dyslexia

-Autism

-ADD/ADHD (Attention & Concentration)

-Cerebral Palsy

-Sensory Processing Disorder

-Developmental Delay

-Cognitive (Executive Functioning)

-Physical Disabilities

Treatments can be selected following assessment that best meet the child's present needs. Goals will be set and agreed upon by parent, child and therapist to maintain a child focused treatment approach and ensure the just right challenge for success.

Many children without a formal diagnosis may still struggle with motor planning, sensory and/or visual spatial difficulties which can have knock on effects on their academic achievement, social skills and self-esteem.

Having an OT assessment will provide parents and teachers with age equivalent comparisons in fine & gross motor skills, visual processing, auditory processing, touch, taste & smell processing, balance, coordination, ball skills, attention, perception, organisation & planning.
